Transition from CSAC/EdFund® to ECMC

As directed by the U.S. Department of Education, federal student loans guaranteed by CSAC and serviced by EdFund were transferred to ECMC on November 1, 2010. Find out what this means to you.

Borrowers who have loans that are in default status

You will now be making payments to or working directly with ECMC or a collection agency that is collecting defaulted student loans on ECMC’s behalf.

If you are making payments on your defaulted student loans, continue to do so. You will be notified if there are any changes that impact you.

If you are not making payments on your defaulted student loans, you can set up a payment arrangement by going to www.ecmc.org/myaccount or contact ECMC at 1-855-810-4922 to discuss options to help you recover from default.

Borrowers who have loans with a status of in school, in grace, in repayment or delinquent (not defaulted)

If you are still in school, in your grace period or making payments, you should continue to work with your loan servicer as necessary and make your payments according to your schedule. If you are behind on your payments and need help finding an affordable option to manage your student loan payments, contact your loan servicer or ECMC at 1-800-298-9490.

If you do not know who your loan servicer is, go to the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS), the central database for federal student loan information.
